If you’ve ever been to one of our gelaterias, then you’ll know that our philosophy is simple: to bring people joy. That has been our number one goal since the founding of our company some 40 years ago!
When young Chris Pahitas was let in on an old traditional Italian recipe in a Florentine gelateria, he returned to Cyprus with a set mission in mind: to offer his fellow islanders a range of gorgeously satisfying flavours, artfully crafted using the freshest ingredients.
Meticulus Care
After months of trial and error, Chris perfected the recipe for large-scale production, and the ball (or should we say, scoop!) has only kept rolling since.
Our aim from day one has been to keep on evolving and improving, providing every one of you devoted ice-cream enthusiasts the opportunity to create the ideal dessert for you every time you pop by.
Persistance & Perseverance
It all began just over 40 years ago in a Florentine gelateria, with a young, ambitious man and a cherished traditional recipe. Chris Pahitas, after being allowed in on the secret how-tos of artisanal Italian gelato, returned to Cyprus, rolled up his sleeves and went straight to work.
A few years later, in 1981, he had perfected the traditional recipe for large-scale production and Pahit Ice ice-cream became available to the public for the very first time. The islanders embraced this newly arrived delicacy, relishing the fine, consistent flavour and quality that made the ice-cream stand out.
